To consider and share features of successful workplace practice, and identify challenges for workplace delivery within their organisation. It will include an exploration of resources available for further practical CPD activity, self-assessment of future training and signposting to this.

Making it Work - a guide for skills for life delivery in the workplace

A guide designed to help those preparing to deliver LLN or functional skills in the workplace.  There are five sections covering:  Employer engagement; effective assessment; flexible delivery; teaching and learning approaches in context; and Professional development.

A Toolkit contextualised for Worbased Learning Providers and Training Providers

This toolkit uses the skills for life terminology but still has relevance to providers wanting to provide English, Maths and ESOL for their learners.  The references to policy may be dated but the strategies for implementation are still relevant.

Four linked units exploring the roles of learner champions, including how to build confidence in approaching maths, and how to involve, engage and motivate parents and carers in family numeracy activities.
